Weekend getaways are my new favorite thing - especially when they include the beach, ice cream museums & fabulous brunch! Last weekend I went to Miami to celebrate my bestie Hannah's birthday. It was a quick trip (Thursday - Monday) but we were able to fit in so many amazing things I can't help but share! I'm breaking this trip down by where we ate, where we drank, the hotels we explored, and fun places/photo ops!

(probably the most important part of a vacation... am I right or am I right?)
ALL DAY: this is where we went to brunch the first morning. One of the BEST avocado toasts I've ever had, and such a good almond milk latte! This gem is downtown in sort of a random spot, but it's worth the uber ride if you are staying out by the beach! The inside is super cute as well!
Taquiza Tacos: we ate at this adorable street style taco place while walking around South Beach! It's hidden underneath an above porch and has foodie written all over it. Their tacos are made on homemade blue corn tortillas (yyuuuummm) and they have the best sangria! Their seating is limited so if you go here be prepared to wait a bit!
OTL MIA: another bangin' brunch spot to add to the books! This one is located in the Design District and it is HEAVENLY. Everything we ordered was so good!
Tacology: sadly, we didn't get to go here because it was insanely busy, but I have heard it is amazing! Such a cool atmosphere and their drinks look so delicious! Definitely a must if you plan ahead :)

(I take back what I said before... drinks are definitely the most important)
Broken Shaker at Freehand Miami: BEST PLACE EVER. Seriously, I miss it already and wish I could live here. Broken Shaker is the coolest bar that truly makes you feel like you're chilling in the backyard throwing a few back with your best friends.. all while soaking up the Miami heat, sitting in retro furniture and eating the most delicious fish tacos. Do I need to say more? GO HERE. It's part of the coolest hotel too! The pool looks like a vintage postcard and it couldn't be cuter. (P.S. everyday they have a $7 daily punch and cocktail... amazing)
The Miami Beach EDITION: first of all, this hotel is BEAUTIFUL. It's lobby, pool, restaurants - all perfection. We went here one night for happy hour and sipped on rosé at The Market - which is a gourmet, sit down café. If I could spend happy hour here every night I would!

Hotel Croydon: this is where we stayed! It's such a cute, funky beach hotel that satisfies every Miami need! It has a gorgeous pool, amazing staff, and complimentary happy hour every night! We took full advantage of this and enjoyed rum & pineapples while hanging by the pool! Such a fun hotel and the restaurant has amazing food too!
1 Hotel South Beach: this hotel is the dreamiest space. It's very exclusive so the hours are limited when you can enjoy their pools and bars, but I recommend just walking through the lobby, checking out their rooftop juice bar or visiting their first floor restaurant!
SLS South Beach: this is another gorgeous hotel.. surprised? It's located right in South Beach and has a perfect outdoor bar and pool area. Here and Delano (which is right across the street) is where you'll find some of the daytime pool party shenanigans you probably think of when you picture Miami. We opted out of this because we had such a short trip but next time I definitely want to go to one!

Museum of Ice Cream: unfortunately this museum is a pop up and won't be in Miami for much longer, but if you are ever in any of the other locations definitely go! It was so much fun - and the ice cream was SO good! My favorite part was the jungle room where we got to sit on a banana swing and eat chocolate covered frozen bananas - Y-U-M.
Dreamer Miami: this acai bowl & matcha bar is to dieeee for! It's probably one of the most Instagram worthy places I've seen, and you definitely pay for this! It's a bit pricey but the bowls are SO good and I would recommend it to anyone!
Tropics Hotel & Hostel: this hotel is located in South Beach and it's such an iconic Miami building. The photo I took of this building is one of my favorites from the trip!
Design District: this area is artsy meets classy - it's where all of the designer stores are located but also home to unique architectural design and art! We had so much fun walking around this area - if you follow me on Instagram this is where the photo of the pink striped wall is ;)

Miami has so many amazing things to offer - I wish I could have stayed longer! There's definitely a right and wrong way to do Miami so if you go I suggest planning ahead and knowing where you will eat/drink because 1) it can be EXPENSIVE and 2) it can be a little wilddddd. That being said, Miami is definitely one of my favorite places I've been to. It has such a special beachside charm - that I'm already craving! Feel free to reach out for further details if you are planning a trip soon & stay tuned for my Miami outfit post!
